The Victoria Collection - an exclusive world tour through 60 years of the history of philately
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, We can announce a special auction on an international level, which makes the hearts of many passionate philatelist beat faster: the, among other things from a report at ZDF (German television) known Victoria collection, is offered in the auction house Thomas Schantl.

These are 514 lots documenting 60 years of international philately from 1840 to 1900. Some highlights:

  • Rarities of the classic period from Europe like Austrian Newspaper Stamps (Mercury), Moldavian Coat of Arms, Cantonals of Switzerland, Italian States are present
  • Also a range of notable items from British Guyana, Bermuda, South Africa, Latinamerica and Asia.
Much of the scarce unique specimens, where outside of the philatelic market for decades, including pieces which had never been offered to the public. Some scarce highlights are unknown in philatelic recordings and specialised literature.
