Rasdale Stamp Company Worldwide Public Auction - May 18-19, 2024 Welcome to the second auction of 2024 containing nearly 1,100 lots. We have become very familiar with rural Illinois due to frequent trips to the central and southern part of the state. These trips have produced one of the bulkiest sales we have had in quite some time. So if mixed box lots are your interest, you will have plenty of opportunities. In addition to the mixed box lots, there are a range of country dedicated collection lots which are highlighted by the United States and Possessions, PRC, along with various Latin America countries. The United States singles are notable for probably the most items offered with graded certificates. The foreign singles encompass nice PRC and Italy.

Be patient if the shipping process is still a little slower than in the past as we are continuing to fine tune the new process. What we have discovered is that it is less expensive to send the smaller packages USPS priority flat rate. Additionally, by using a private logistics company the cost of the larger, freight type ships are almost cut in half. Thus, this is the way to go for shipments of 15 or more boxes. When possible, if bidding on large volume lots let us know if the freight method works for you. We thank you for your continued support. We do appreciate our customers and any suggestions you may have. Dynamic Internet Bidding at StampAuctionNetwork.

StampAuctionNetwork US Classics of Exceptional Quality and Starter Collection Lots - June 14, 2024 Welcome to our twelfth stamp auction to benefit African American Entrepreneurs via the Resilient Ventures Fund. This sale features two stamps that were purchased as an experiment to test the creation of fractional owned stamps using NFTs and block chain technology. We were never able to test the market so we are selling the stamps. Both stamps, an 1861 24c Grayish Lilac (78a), and a State Department 1873 $10 green and black (O70) are both the best copies available by quality and price history. We also include a number of very high quality US Classics, including an 85E 12c Black Z Grill, a 1894 4c Black Newspaper stamp (PR92) that is ranked #1 for quality and price history, and a number of other top 10 in their censuses US Classics. In the classic area we also have an exceptional Canada 1868 3c Large Queen. We are continuing our efforts to bring new collectors to auctions by offering a number of starter country collection lots. Each of these lots were pulled from worldwide collections and sometimes combined to create the opportunity to get a good start on collecting a country at low cost. The best way to start collecting a country is to buy a number of collection lots, merge them, learn what you like and then pursue the more expensive items, and you can do that with these lots. I expect there will be some seasoned bidders on these lots also, as some of these countries are in demand, and this is often where you find bonus items as none of these lots have been picked for single lot sales. In somewhat the same light, I have put together some mint sheet lots that are premium items in the market today, including a complete set of the Lunar new years, Legends of Hollywood, Bugs Bunny, Disney, Star Wars and Star Trek, etc... So enjoy those. This is also a live auction, so newcomers can get the experience of a live auction conducted at StampAuctionNetwork. There are not that many lots in this sale, so we don't have to rush things for those starting out bidding live.
This is a Live Auction conducted at StampAuctionNetwork -- All Lots will close during the Live Auction which will start at 1:00 EST pm June 14th, 2024

StampAuctionNetwork Tour de Cure Auction to Benefit the American Diabetes Assoc. - May 8, 2024 This is our 9th sale to benefit The American Diabetes Association. It contains lots donated by StampAuctionNetwork Auction firms Paradise Valley and Cherrystone, and a special consignment from the daughter of Mr. Robert ("Bob") Kreps, the describer at Michael Rogers, plus of course the autographed copy of Bill Gross's book, The "William H. Gross Collection - United States Classics, 1847–1869" -- with a "catch". You can be the eighth person to sign this classic and contribute to the ADA.

This sale features some items from the Kreps accumulation, including his personal volume two of mint and used China and a number of beautiful China isses on cover, maixum cards and souvenir sheets, French and French Africa stamps and covers, essays, proofs and deluxe proofs, Cuba Specimens, US and Mexico postal history, a Guatemala cover, Boy and Girl scouts topicals, Italy, Red Cross topicals, two unique covers from Nepal and many other unique and eclectic offerings. This may be our most interesting sale for Diabetes yet. In fact, I am going out on a ledge and will suggest that there is a lot for every collector in this sale to support the fight to cure Diabetes. Go ahead and prove me wrong!

But the best part of this sale, is that it is for The American Diabetes Tour de Cure. Payment for your lots will be a charitable contribution to the ADA. If you win lots, payment will be made directly to the ADA using my American Diabetes Tour de Cure Donation page. The sale will close on Wednesday, May 8th at 12:00 noon EST.

This year's ride is supporting the American Diabetes Association's efforts to advance research, education, advocacy, and support for those with diabetes. Click this link to see how I am doing or to give a donation.

2024 marks the 30th year of StampAuctionNetwork, but we started working for stamp auction houses much earlier than that. In fact we met Mr. Kreps in 1990, when the first stamp auction house Michael Rogers started using our stamp auction management system. He was a describer for Michael Rogers at the time. From that point on we would help to bring most of the US and many European auction houses into the digital age by automating their catalog production and building systems for managing their auctions. In order those were, Michael Rogers, Keystone, David G. Phillips, Modern Stamps, Firby, Shreves, Daugherty, Colonial, McCusker, Dale Enterprises, Wolffers, Sam Houston, Lippert's, Barons, Kelleher, Mastro, Lelands, Harmers of London, Harmers of Switzerland, Robert A. Siegel, Hart Davis Hart -- those would be the first 25, we would go on and work with Harmers USA, Manning, Matthew Bennett, and many more. So when we met Mr. Kreps daughter in RTP in my work in the Entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Research Triangle it was a special moment to help with her dads collection. Most of the major items have been consigned to Kelleher and Rogers in their April 23rd auction but his daughter has a connection with Diabetes and so was delighted to have some of the items placed in this sale to raise money for research to cure diabetes. Eastern Auctions Worldwide - Mail Sale - June 12, 2024 Welcome to our June auction, closing June12, 2024.

I was reviewing some lots for our public auction recently when something caught my eye.  It was a matched set of corner blocks of the Canada 4¢ Caricature Issue (Scott #589). Each block had double perforations.  A friend and I discovered the only sheet of this error ever found.  We used to check inventories of post offices and look for errors and varieties and found this error sheet in Florenceville, New Brunswick.  We promptly sold it to John Jamieson in Saskatoon, who broke up the sheet into singles and blocks and resold them.  That was 49 years ago!  It was a pleasure to see the corner blocks again after so many years.  This story illustrates just how long an item can remain in a collection before becoming available to collectors again.
