1501 O/og   imageCollection of Worldwide Mint and Used in Six Stockbooks, 1840-1960s, with a few thousand stamps, generally organized by country, ranging from classic used material with mint stamps generally from the 1920s onward. We note better representation from Italy (with good representation of Airmail and A.M.G. mint stamps), France (including Semi-Postals), San Marino, Vatican, Russia, British Commonwealth, just to name a few. A cursory check indicated a 4-margin Great Britain Penny Black (intense black, used, Scott #1a), along with a few Cape of Good Hope triangles, and Scott #s Zanzibar 38-52 (m.h., c.v. $199 total), Israel 1-9 (no tabs,m.h., $125 total), Italy C3-C9 (m.h., $153 total), Reunion C1 (used on piece, $250), along with some stamps and sets cataloguing $20 to $100 and up. Owner's Scott 1990 catalogue value for the lot is in excess of $10,000. Online photos show a sampling. A spot check indicated mint stamps were hinged. We note a few small faults with the early stamps. Overall fine to very fine. 1511 O/og/nh   imageWorldwide Stamps in Nine Supreme Global Albums, with eight albums marked from 'Ad' to 'It', then 'Mo' to 'Tr' and one album with 'Guinea' to 'Zanzibar', African countries. These thick albums are sparsely to fairly filled with strength in the European countries, Latin America and, to a lesser extent, the French Colonies. The stamps range from classics to the early 1980s, with some mint never hinged stamps in black mounts throughout. We estimate there to be well over 10,000 plus stamps in this collection. Although the albums have some wear and tear on the outside, the stamps have been well protected and are overall fine to very fine. With many stamps and sets in the $5 to $20 of catalogue value, this is an excellent lot for the reseller, with high total catalogue value. 1514 O/og   imageGroup of 219 Retired APS Circuit Books, from a wide variety of countries, with a mix of mint and used and nice overall quality. The retail value indicated refers to the total of remaining stamps in these books, not counting about 9 books which do not have any values written-in. A spot check of five random books revealed the remaining values to be correct, except one which was way off (written value was much higher) for some reason. For this reason, we highly recommend viewing this lot in person, to better appreciate its contents and actual value.

1515 O/og   imageMint and Used Collection in an Old Time Schaubek Viktoria Album, with over 1,000 mint and used stamps, including classics and semi-classics. There is some strength in Austria, Brazil, Canada & Newfoundland, Egypt, Germany & German States, Salvador and the United States with seemingly at least a few stamps from most countries. We noted many stamps in the $2 to $20 range of catalogue value. 1517 O/og/nh   imageImpressive and Valuable 42-Volume Worldwide Stamp Collection, housed in Supreme Global Stamp Albums. This enormous, clean collection was assembled over the course of three generations and has stamps ranging from classics to 2014, with a mix of used, mint hinged / never hinged in the early period, and often exclusively mint never hinged from about 1990 and on. Spot checking the collection, we noted mint never hinged stamps (in black mounts) at least as far back as the 1920s. This collection has thousands of complete sets, such as many British Commonwealth definitive sets. There is good value in early People’s Republic of China with numerous stamps in the Cultural Revolution period. Taking a look at modern mint stamps; Canada, the United States, Australia and New Zealand all have in the neighborhood of $1,000 each in face value alone, with Great Britain having about £1,000. Other countries with notably high face value offerings include; Denmark, Japan, Norway and Switzerland. Mint never hinged Euro-value totals for theses countries are significant also: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Vatican City. To get a picture of the overall Euro face value, we added the total for France from 1999 to 2015 which came to €2,606. There is a great deal of material, such as booklets, miniature panes and souvenir sheets tucked in through the latest years of the collection, where the item does not have an album illustration. This collection is full of surprises, with some less likely countries quite full and almost entirely mint never hinged in the modern period, like Andorra (French Administration), Costa Rica, Fiji, F.S.A.T., Greenland, Hong Kong, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Macao, Mayotte, Montserrat, Namibia, New Caledonia, Pitcairn Islands, St. Lucia, St. Pierre & Miquelon, Singapore, South Africa, Turks & Caicos Islands, United Arab Emirates, Vanuatu, and Zimbabwe. There are many, many better singles and sets in the $10 to $90 range and these will cumulatively catalogue far more than those above this value. Many of the sets and singles cataloguing $100 or more include Scott #s Angola 5 (c.v. used $175); Antigua 30 (mint $115); Austria 27-33 (used $1,044), 34-40 (used $268), C54-8 (The Birds, used, $258); Bahamas 33-36 (mint, $111), 58-62 (mint, $135); Belgium 1-5 (used, $844); Bermuda 96 (mint, $160); Cayman Islands 1106-117 (mint, $110); China 10 (mint, $175), J1-J6 (used, $150); Cook Islands 9-12 (used, $167); Danish West Indies 3 (used, $320) and 43-50 (used, $121); Denmark 15 (used, $175), 68 (used, $120), 135 (used, $175), C4 (mint, $130) and C5 (mint, $105); Falkland Islands 37 (mint, $120), 48 (mint, $100), 84-96 (mint, $361) and 107-20 (mint, $120); Falkland Islands Dependencies 1L19-1L33 (mint, $238); France J10 (used, $110); F.S.A.T 28 (mint, $280); Gabon 32 (mint, $127); Gibraltar 107-22 (mint, $106) and 132-45 (mint, $100); Great Britain 108 (used, $290), 109 (x3 used, $615 each), 137 (mint, $150), 138 (mint, $100), 141 (used, $500), 142 (used, $825) and 209 (used, $600); Greece 126 (mint, $325), 127 (mint, $575), Greenland Q9 (mint, $110), Hong Kong 178-79 (mint, $225), India 203-06 Gandhi (mint, $557), Iran 1150 (mint, $175), Ireland 12-14 (mint, $370), 77 (used, $175), 96-98 (used, $290), Italy 37-44 (used, $114), 58-63 (mint, $147), J25 (mint, $130), J26 (mint, $525) and Q1 (mint, $125); Jamaica 86 (used, $100); Liechtenstein 152 (used, $100); Malta 116-29 (mint, $144) and 246-62 (mint, $127); Monaco 27 (mint, $100); Mongolia 44 (mint, $250), Netherlands 33 (used, $105); New Guinea C14-C27 (mint, $366), and C57 (mint, $110); New Zealand 288-301 (mint, $179); Pakistan 1-19 (mint, $135); Singapore 21-22 (mint, $122); Southern Rhodesia 14 (used, $175); Switzerland B1-B6 (used $254); Tunisia 25 (mint $175); and Zanzibar 38-52 (mint $278). Based on a sampling of several volumes and extrapolating a total from this, we estimate this collection to contain at least 200,000 stamps. There are many, many seldom seen items such as imperforate varieties, unusual overprints and much more, as one might expect to see in a collection assembled with passion over the course of many decades. Just over 400 images accompany this collection and even so, only a tiny portion of it is shown online. Overall fine to very fine, and a great opportunity for dealers, or to a collector who would like to expand on it.

Most of the boxes are at least 75% full or more, with the majority of the material identified and priced. This group would appear to stem from a minimum of three sources, with little overlap. We noted dozens of stamps cataloguing $50 or more, just within the Great Britain section; for the rest of the world, there are dozens above $50 as well. Well over half of the 102s contain sets and singles from about $1 to $10. There is strength in Great Britain & Commonwealth, Germany & Area, Japan, Switzerland and the United States. 1520 O/og/nh   imageDealer's Stock of Worldwide in 102 Cards and in Counter Books, from classics to the 1990s. Among the 102 cards, we estimate there to be over 6,000 with about one third clean and ready for sale, another one-third needing some attention and the remaining one-third work in progress. For stamps with an owner's pricing of $20 or more, the approximate total is over $30,000 in 102 cards with another several hundred in 101 pages in the counter books. There are also thousands of dollars in priced sets and singles in the $1 to $15 of owner's / catalogue value. This group appears to come from a few sources and, other than the counter books, which are neat and in some order, the 102s are not in order. There is strength in Germany and other Europe as well as Great Britain and British Commonwealth with a bit of China. There will be significant value in unpriced stamps, with higher cataloguing stamps from the United States and other countries in 102 cards, waiting to be catalogued and priced. Images show the higher priced items. Overall fine or better. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (All Scans)
