887 CVR India imageGroup of 50 India Covers and Cards, 1860s-1930s, with 12 pre-1900 covers, the majority sent by ship, to Great Britain including a registered letter to London, England, rated 6a, with Amritsar squared circle dated MAR.23.1890, along with a 1864 mourning cover to Great Britain, rated 14a (franked with Scott #s 15, 17, 19), with two line "INDIA PAID" boxed handstamp on the front and a 1872 Baroda to England cover, rated 8a (franked with Scott #28), with clear Baroda duplex postmark (numeral 28), with partial Kingston receiver and a single line "TOO LATE" boxed handstamp in black on the back. The collection begins with two albums, with material ranging from 1947 to 1962, including 56 first day covers, along with used stamps, photographs, and articles, to give a visual history for each issue, with subjects such as prominent men and women, landmarks, just to name a few. All the covers are addressed, with the majority franked with sets, including a few registered and first flight covers, all with illustrated cachets and with Bombay G.P.O. pictorial cancels. The balance of the collection are first day covers ranging from the late 1950s up to 1973, with the vast majority having solo frankings, with a few sets and blocks, along with illustrated cachets and Bombay G.P.O. pictorial cancels. 899 Israel image1929 Palestinian Immigration Certificate with Stamps, a League of Nations Nansen passport with 1928 and 1929 League of Nations stamps, each tied to the document by small circular British Consulate in Galatz handstamps. There are also two British Consular Service stamps, tied by oval Galatz 1929 datestamps. There are a number of other handstamps present on both sides of the document, as well as a photograph of the bearer, a Mr. Yankel, who was traveling with his wife.
