772 CVR C12 image1932 DO-X Trans Atlantic Cover Flown to England, mailed St Johns Newfoundland on MAY.19.1932 (neat strike of the usual slogan machine cancel) and addressed to London, England, with no receiver. The cover is franked with a very fine example of the specially overprinted $1.50 on $1 Dornier DO-X Flight Airmail issue. Very fine, with pencil notation on back "Flown cover guaranteed / Geo. C. Ginn".

774 CVR   imageAccumulation of Roughly 1,000 Canadian Covers, 1899-1980s, filling a bankers box, with the majority of covers ranging from the 1930s to the 1960s. The lot has a wide variety of interesting material including a cover front from Hamilton, with a Hamilton C.W duplex (the same type used on the MAR.16.1870 example of the 2c Large Queen on laid paper), dated MAY.3.1870 to Chatham, Ontario, franked with 1c and 2c Large Queen stamps (roughly two months after a 2c Large Queen stamp on laid paper was used at the Hamilton post office), along with advertising mail (many are illustrated), postal stationery, postcards, first day covers (including a few private cachets from 1937 onward), foreign stamps used in Canada, V.E. day covers, A.R. cards, etc, along with a variety of postmarks, noting broken circle, c.d.s., flag, and duplex. We note a variety of rates including airmail with destinations to Europe and West Indies to name a few, registration, special delivery, postage due, etc. From an estate who collected interesting and unusual material.
