LotNo. Symbol Cat No. Lot Description
1741   imageSet of High Quality Empty PRC and Provinces Albums, with three distinct groups of albums. First has illustrated pages printed by the Fidelity Trading Co. (Cypress, California) for People's Republic of China regular issues (1949 to 1979) with spaces for varieties, early issues have spaces for issued stamps as well as reprints, souvenir sheets, etc. The second set is printed on heavy bond paper and prepared by Michael Rogers Inc. and has pages for PRC Provinces, with the same degree of completeness. The third is a single album printed by the N.C. Yang Stamps and Coins (Hong Kong) and covers PRC from 1949 to 1967, with sections for Commemoratives, Special Issues, Cultural Revolution Special Issues and Regular Issues. The great majority of the pages in this lot are new, some have clean black mounts, and all are housed in special leather albums (all do not match). There appears to be duplication of some of the pages, and some of the pages are not necessarily in order, but this can be quickly remedied. A very nice and useful lot, which contains a total of 13 volumes. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (Scan 4) (Scan 5) (All Scans)

LotNo. Symbol Cat No. Lot Description
1748 nh   imageLarge Lot of Mint Never Hinged Miniature Panes and Souvenir Sheets, in envelopes with glassine interleaving or in glassines. Scott #s 678/3078, duplicated with upwards of 10 or more of some items. This group must have high total catalogue value: we checked the first 20 envelopes out of over 60 and found the catalogue value to be $1,963; this just counting items over $10. The miniature panes of Czechoslovakia have, for the most part been separated into their component stamps over the years and have only relatively recently been listed as footnotes in Scott, which is why we noted these surprisingly high catalogue values for this country. The stamps are generally well-preserved, despite their humble presentation, with only the odd folded corner here or there as a result of careless handling. Excellent material for the re-seller. Overall fine to very fine. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (All Scans)

1751 O/og/nh 2/611 imageMint and Used Collection in Stock Pages, 1851-1978, all neatly displayed with used in one column and mint in a second column, mostly used at the beginning, turning to both in the middle period, then to mint only near the end. The used have many nice town cancels, especially in the early definitives plus a nice assortment of 3-ring numerals on the first page. Some of the better used items we saw include #s 2a (x3), 2b (x3), 3, 4 (x3), 5, 6, 7 (x4), 8, 9 (x7), 11 (x2), 12, 13 (x2), 16 (x2), 17, 18 (x3), 19, 27, 31 (x3), 32 (x3), 33, 34 (x3), 35 (x3), 37, 82 (x2), 135 (x2) and so on. Catalogue value given is the owner's from a while back, but as we checked these listed items, we noted that some prices had gone up and some down. Owner's value includes $5,956 in value for items more than $1 and $399 for items under $1. Overall fine or better. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (Scan 4) (Scan 5) (Scan 6) (All Scans)

1754 O/og/nh   imageCollection / Accumulation of Mint and Used Egypt, 1867-1968, consisting of many hundreds of stamps, in a binder, with many Vario-style and owner created pages. The lot begins with a selection of used material up to the mid 1920s (including a few pages of pyramid stamps), with a gradual mix of mint and used material up to the 1950s, and primarily mint United Arab Republic material up to the late 1960s. The collection includes a representation of Airmails, Officials, Postage Dues, and Occupation of Palestine. A cursory look of material showed a mix of lower value stamps with items cataloguing $10 and up, leaving potential finds for the diligent collector.
