Accumulation of Mint Singles, Blocks and Souvenir Sheets, 1920s-1990s, consisting of many hundreds of stamps in a stockbook, Vario-style stock pages, and loose material. Face value of the lot is at least $298 (counting 10c and up, with the majority in the 25c to 32c range, and includes 92 FOREVER stamps, counted at 60c each). the majority of the blocks (including some plate blocks), range in the 1940s to the 1950s and includes Special Delivery and Airmails plate blocks, along with two uncut press sheets of James Dean and Humphrey Bogart (still in the tube). Collection of Mint and Used United States and Possessions, 1861-1993, consisting of three albums of primarily used stamps. The collection begins with selections of classics with 1861 issues (including a few with grills, unchecked for types), along with 1870s issues of Continental, National, and American Bank Note issues (as identified by the owner), and continues with a good selection of used material up to the 1970s. We note a number of stamps cataloguing $20 and higher in the album. The lot continues with a second album containing roughly 300 stamps of primarily used United States possessions including: Hawaii, Canal Zone, Philippines, and Puerto Rico. Better items include Scott #s: Hawaii 46 (used, c.v. $65), 52C (used, c.v. $150), along with a few Canal Zone 1909-1910 Specimen stamps, and Philippines #212 (used, c.v. $225). The third album consists of used material from the 1970s to the 1990s. We note faults with some of the early material, along with heavy postmarks on the used material, and a few no gum mint stamps. A good lot for the specialist as there could be some interesting finds. Online scans show a representation of the lot. Overall fine to very fine. Mint Collection 1880s to 1980s, in four clean, Minkus All American albums with generally good color throughout, even among the earliest issues. We estimate this collection to be 70% complete by album illustration for the period and there are numerous better items included, such as #s 294-99 (c.v. $381), 328-30 (c.v. $212), 336 (c.v. $62), 338 (c.v. $70), 340 (c.v. $67), 341 (c.v. $275), 402 (c.v. $70), 413 (c.v. $60), 517 (c.v. $50), 545 (c.v. $225), 547 (c.v. $125), 573 (c.v. $90), 578-79 (c.v. $145), Offices in China K3 (c.v. $55), K5 (c.v. $60), and K9 (c.v. $60). This collection also boasts significant additional material such as booklet panes, a large selection of postal stationery as well as revenues, such as Duck Stamps complete from RW26-RW52 (c.v. total $1,376). There is also an extensive U.N. collection from 1951 to 1986 which is near complete by album illustration for the period and includes # 38 (c.v. $50). We have spot-checked this collection and it appears to conform to the Scott standard of mint hinged up until #771 and never hinged beyond that. Overall fine to very fine. We estimate roughly half of the material is British Commonwealth, ranging from the Victorian Reign up to early Elizabethan. We note Ceylon, South Africa, Sarawak, to name a few, with particular strength in Great Britain with 12 pages of Victorian issues, including Scott #58 (x20, missing plate 9, total c.v. $829), with a selection of Penny Reds, and a page of Jubilee issues with owner's catalogue value of $1,450, along with Sierra Leone #34-43 (c.v. $124), and Tasmania #93 (c.v. $45). Collection / Accumulation of Used North Borneo and Malay States, consisting of several hundreds of stamps on several Vario-style and quadrille pages. We note half the accumulation is North Borneo, ranging from 1886 to 1961, with particular strength from 1894 to 1922. A spot check showed the majority of stamps cataloguing between $1 and $3, with some cataloguing over $10 (many with town postmarks). The lot continues with pages of Straits Settlements including high values with Scott #166d and #167d (with probable revenue postmarks). The lot concludes with pages of Malay States, with roughly 100 stamps, primarily from the 1900s to 1920s, including: Kedah, Johore, Perak, etc. We note a number of C.T.O. postmarks in the North Borneo, along with a good number of c.d.s. postmarks (including a few sock on the nose). The lot begins with a binder of Great Britain, containing roughly 1,300 perfin stamps, including 190 Victorian era issues. We note a few interesting items from Canada and BNA, including Unitrade #MR2B mint hinged (Unitrade c.v. $150), along with a 8c Numeral (no gum with a Specimen overprint), a Prince Edward Island 3d (no gum imperforate pair) along with a 6d mint hinged (possibly reperforated to look like a #3). Group of Canada, British Commonwealth and Worldwide Collections, consisting of a few thousand mint and used stamps in six albums and stockbooks. The group begins with a Scott Specialty album consisting of primarily used Canada, including Unitrade #14-15, a small group of Small Queens, and Jubilee issues from the 1c/15c. The album continues with a used 50c Edward VII and used sets of Admirals, Scroll, 1935 and 1938 Pictorial, and War issues. We note a few mint hinged issues after 1951 and a few cheques franked with Admiral issues. The lot continues with a Diplomat album of primarily British Commonwealth issues, consisting of many hundreds of stamps (primarily used with some mint hinged and never hinged), ranging from the Victorian era up to early Elizabethan.
