1559 og 6 image#6, 1882 5ca Orange yellow, pelure paper, cliche 4, a magnificently well centered example of this extremely rare mint stamp, plus attractive full perforations, a feature seldom found on this fragile paper, luxuriant color in this dull yellow shade that Chan calls yellow ocher, rarely seen nearly full o.g., tiny tear and small thinning at top, typical of virtually every mint example of this stamp, extremely fine for this; this is by far the rarest of the Large Dragons and one of the keys to any important collection of China; the extremely fragile nature of this paper results in nearly all copies, either mint or used, to have paper faults to a greater or lesser degree and unused examples to frequently have their gum removed; the example here, retaining virtually all of its original gum, is among the finest available (Chan #6; $16,500.00) (Image) $9,000.00
