267 nh/ogbl O114 #O114, 1c War, on soft porous paper, complete top and bottom imprint and plate "No. 18" sheet of 100 with selvages on all four sides, quite well centered and intact though there are some perf. separations with some hinge reinforcement, both plate blocks of 12 are hinged though the top plate block has eleven stamps n.h., of the 76 non-plate block stamps 46 are n.h., few minor selvage flaws and natural wrinkles affecting 3 stamps, fine-very fine; also including a fine previously hinged top imprint and plate "No. 18" block of 14 with eight n.h. stamps including the extra pair; catalog value is for three hinged plate blocks, 30 hinged and 48 n.h. singles. $1,158.00

268 nh/ogbl O116 O116, 3c War on soft porous paper, complete top and bottom imprint and plate "No. 32" right pane of 100 from the sheet of 200 with natural straight edge and partial arrow markers at left, sheet has been separated along the middle horiz. perforations and reinforced by small strips of hinge, other than these two rows all the other stamps are never hinged including the plate blocks though gum is applied a bit unevenly, plate blocks have small hinge reinforcement in the plate blocks, mostly in the ungummed portion, of the 76 non-plate block stamps 56 are n.h. including eight s.e. stamps, small selvage flaws in the extreme edges and four stamps in the hinged center rows with tape stain, centering varies from mostly fine to very fine; catalog value is for two hinged plate blocks, 20 hinged and 56 n.h. singles. $1,900.00

269 TCP PR2TC5-PR4TC5, PR2P4-PR4P image#PR2TC5-PR4TC5, PR2P4-PR4P4, 5c-25c Newspaper stamps, Trial colors on thick cream paper and Plate proofs on card cplt. all 5c values are the white border variety which indicate that this is what the Post Office considered to be the proper first set as indicated by the way the proofs were issued, the plate proofs on card have full even margins and rich colors, accompanied by original Post Office envelope reading "United States Postage Stamps/Issue/1865/Newspapers and Periodicals," the trial colors are complete with each value in black, lake, blue green and blue, a couple with small thins which is quite usual for this cream paper, otherwise well margined and attractive, very fine. 277 P   image1932 Washington Bicentennial master die impressions, a unique group comprised of eighteen master die albino and colored single impression on wove paper roughly the size of an index card, albino impression are comprised of 1c 1st, 2nd (2) and 3rd impressions, 1½c 1st and 3rd impressions, 2c 1st and 2nd impressions and 4c 1st and 5th impressions, while the colored die impressions are 2c 3rd impression in Carmine and 2c 4th to 7th impressions in Orange red; this issue was designed by C.R. Zimmer and William Marchant of the Shaw & Marchant Company of Dayton, Ohio and the master dies were made by John Sinnock and his assistant Adam Pietz at the United States mint in Philadelphia, all these have been attributed to Adam Piets in pencil on the old album pages to which they are hinged, generally very fine and most unusual, likely a unique offering coming to the market now for the first time; none are listed in the Undersander book.
