861 ogO   Pietersburg specialized mint and cancelled collection, this seldom seen issue was producedby the Boer government because of a shortage of stamps as the British occupied the Transvaal and was printed in the newspaper office of "De Zoutpansberg Wachter" in Pietersberg, very few were used though favor cancelled stamps are available and valued the same as mint, this collection mounted and annotated on pages contains over 160 mostly mint and eight pairs imperforate between, the majority of this collection are imperforate though some perforated issues are interspersed, all are collected and identified by type and the constant varieties that are listed in Stanley Gibbons, numerous example of these varieties are present, condition is very clean, nearly all with o.g. and fine-very fine; a seldom encountered opportunity to acquire a nice hoard of these interesting issues; Stanley Gibbons catalog value is £5,000. 880 ogOc   Worldwide 20th century postal stationery accumulation of over 850 mint and used items including a large variety of postal cards, envelopes and air letter sheets, emphasis is on air post related items, though not all, many of the postal cards are European with many from Germany, Austria including WIPA items and Switzerland, there are special issues for air events and a few have semi-official air post status, other areas we note are Latin America including Mexico, plus Canal Zone and other miscellaneous areas, over a third of the material are air letter sheets, mostly mint from the George VI period and including a range of British Colonies from Africa, the Caribbean, and Asia such as India, also some independent countries such as Japan and China, condition overall is quite fresh and attractive with nearly all fine-very fine or better; an interesting and valuable lot that needs examination to ferret out the scarce items that are found throughout.
