861 ogO   Pietersburg specialized mint and cancelled collection, this seldom seen issue was producedby the Boer government because of a shortage of stamps as the British occupied the Transvaal and was printed in the newspaper office of "De Zoutpansberg Wachter" in Pietersberg, very few were used though favor cancelled stamps are available and valued the same as mint, this collection mounted and annotated on pages contains over 160 mostly mint and eight pairs imperforate between, the majority of this collection are imperforate though some perforated issues are interspersed, all are collected and identified by type and the constant varieties that are listed in Stanley Gibbons, numerous example of these varieties are present, condition is very clean, nearly all with o.g. and fine-very fine; a seldom encountered opportunity to acquire a nice hoard of these interesting issues; Stanley Gibbons catalog value is £5,000.
