816 ogOc   imageFrance Sage issue impressive specialized collection of 562 stamps and 132 covers attractively mounted and written-up on exhibit pages in three large binders, being very comprehensive with all denominations represented, including mint and used singles, blocks and multiples, covers, pre-cancels, millesimes pairs, varieties, imperforates, etc., the collection is replete with better items such as mint Ty. I issues, two mint 15c Blue on bluish (Scott #92b), used 1c Prussian blue with certificate (faulty) and 1c Cobalt blue (Yvert #83c) with certificate, 1925 Philatelic Exposition souvenir sheet, Granet reprints of 1887, Regents special printing and a 1c essay corner margin pair, in addition the collector attempted to show an example of each value used on cover as a single franking and succeeded in most instances, as well as the various rates in effect at the time and some unusual and multiple franking usages, the condition is a bit mixed in places, however a great many are fine-very fine; several signed and three certificates accompany; a lovely collection that is well suited for continuation.
