Baldinger (Warren Harding's military aide) making mention of Harding's files which were still located within the White House and asking Major Baldinger to hold them for her, these files were later mysteriously burned to "preserve his (Warren Harding's) memory" according to Florence Harding, letter also talks about selling his "loco", accompanied by original mourning cover addressed in her hand franked with Scott #610, 2c 1923 Harding Memorial stamp cancelled by "Marion, Ohio/OCT 13 1923" wavy line c.d.s., addressed to Baldinger at the White House, slightly rough opening at right, fine; one of the very few known covers with the 2c Harding Memorial stamp used by Mrs. Harding to frank her mail.
