We also feature lots from British Commonwealth – Caribbean Islands and Africa, as well as Great Britain and French/British occupation of German colonies. We sure are proud to offer such a great range of cancellations, colours, varieties, units and proofs.
China, South East Asia and India will be heavily featured in our next auction (the 17th) at the end of May. Stay with us, enjoy our catalogue and happy hunting!

The auction consists of over 3300 lots including a lot of worldwide philately, mainly in intact lots and collections and also as single items. Main focus is on the Finnish stamps, collections and postal history. The sale includes for example over 50 lots of 1856 oval issues, plenty of Finnish classic error stamps starting from 1856, like 1856 10 kopeck with double print, 1860 onwards large variety of partially imperforate stamps, 1866 10 penni colour error (10 penni on 5 penni colour) on a pair (only two known) and on a cover in tête-bêche position (unique cover, only known!), 1866 8 penni beautiful stamp with roulette V (one of the best copies existing), tête-bêche pairs on 1882-1885 issues (like 1882 25 penni complete sheet of 100 stamps including one of the 11 known tête-bêches, 1891 3½ rouble colour error stamp, Zeppelin 1830 error print stamp on a block of four and on a card (legendary rarity!), over ten copies of Aunus 5 markka and 10 markka stamps and many other key items in Finnish philately, also plenty of postal items, rare postmarks etc.
Foreign section has plenty of interesting lots, for example an old exhibition collection of Austria with plenty of interesting material, British Imperium excellent album, an Estonian rarity: Moisakula 1941 1.20 / 3 S Mi 5 K with inverted overprint on a fragment (a great rarity,only few known!) and many many other great collections and lots from all over the world.
Auction includes also a huge variety of jewelry, over 200 lots, for example gold rings with total of four diamonds with total weight ca. 5 ct., White gold ring with an impressive 1.83 ct diamond, platinum diamond pendant, Cartier “Panthere” pendant with diamond decorations etc. etc. You will also find also almost 70 gold coin lots, 1908 London Olympics Gold Medal, The first Finnish Bible 1942 and plenty of other collectibles available in the auction as well as large selection of Finnish medals and orders.

(2) Low priced lots as well as collections and accumulations. These are lots 401 thru 491. The collections are priced well below retail. Please note that postage may be high. As usual there is no commission on these lots and that they are sold AS IS – NO RETURNS.
(3) NO START -- BEST OFFER. These are lots 1001 thru 1275. No reasonable offer will be declined. By “reasonable” I mean: if you offer 50% of the price listed I may very well decline. If you offer 75% of the price listed for 10 or more items, I may very well accept the offer. Commission will be added.

Sam Houston Philatelics next auction will close on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 1:00 PM, Central Time. The sale contains 622 lots, with material in all price ranges and something for everyone, collectors and dealers alike. A few of the highlights include the following:
- UNITED STATES, There are (86) U.S. lots offered, with (20) lots of nice Classics, Pictorials and Banknotes. Highlights are three 1869 pictorials; lots 4, 8 and 9. There are (37) lots among the Exhibition and late 19th Century stamps, with a couple nice NH Pan-Pacific lots. You'll find (20) lots of Washington/Franklins and late 1920 issues. The 1930 to Date section offers 40 lots, with 37 Graded, mostly VF or VF-SUPERB (grade 95/98's).
- COVERS, There are about (40) Cover lots, (12) Commercial, including C14 ($1.30 Graf Zeppelin) on a flown cover; and (40) First Day Covers lots, of which 19 have hand-painted Pugh cachets, and a seldom offered Star Wars Postal Cards (Lot 135), and other complete individual Postal Card sets, each with the brilliant work of Julian and Sharon Pugh.

This internet auction sale consists of United States, U.S. B.O.B. U.S. Revenues and Worldwide stamps and covers. There are 8347 individual lots with every lot photographed and available for viewing online. There are over 300 lots of Plate Blocks which include B.O.B. and Revenues plates. There is a strong U.S. B.O.B. section including a very nice section of U.S. Revenues (3450 lots) which includes about 220 lots of Match & Medicine stamps.
There is also a strong U.S. Possessions section included in this sale. There are nearly 2150 various Worldwide singles, sets and S/S's available for bidding.
