605 c 45a image45a: 10¢ dull rose single franking (paying the 5¢ UPU letter rate plus 5¢ registration fee), tied by bold grid to registered OTTAWA LUMBER CO. advertising cover with rectangular boxed REGISTERED OTTAWA 6 DE '95 dispatch to BARBADOS, via New York 9 DE and received 23 DE but addressee could not be located and the cover languished in the post office for quite some time before a manuscript 'unclaimed' was written at top and the letter was RETURNED and received at the CANADIAN DEAD LETTER OFFICE on 25 AU '96, almost a full EIGHT MONTHS later, quite extraordinary and a very colourful and attractive display item.
