448 c 41var image41var: 3¢ vermilion single with severely shifted vertical MISPERFORATIONS (through the centre of the stamp), separated by scissors on both sides to cut out a single stamp franking, tied by 19 AP '92 Toronto Squared Circle precursor to a commercial printed bank cover to Belleville with next day receiver, one can imagine the exasperated clerk or secretary having to cut the sheet apart 'one-by-one' to frank letters, quite a conversation piece and very rare on cover as most were discarded. 454 c 41var image41var: The two-thirds portion of a diagonally 'tri-sected' 3¢ vermilion paying the 2¢ COUNTY RATE and tied by Maritime grid to cover from North Sydney, C.B. 9 FE '92 (cds on back) to Englishtown, C.B., cover is somewhat faulty and reduced at left (partially remaining manuscript information indicating it may have been sent from a '(W)harf' in the '(Harb)or'), with 1999 Greene Foundation certificate stating "... Partial copy used on portion of cover, genuine but contrary to postal regulations", a UNIQUE and GENUINE USE (although officially unauthorized) of 2/3 of a 3¢ stamp to pay the 2¢ rate. 455 c 41,OX1 image41,OX1: 3¢ vermilion tied by grid to advertising cover from Toronto 5 MY '91 via Belleville to Cobourg, received next day, then redirected to Norwood (7 MY receiver) and once again forwarded via Peterboro to Apsley where it was received 10 MY. Cover was then handed to the wrong addressee and roughly opened (damaging the stamp), with manuscript notations 'not called for' and 'opened in mistake by B. I. Hales', returned from Apsley 2 JU to the Dead Letter Office where it was received 4 JU, the cover being mended and an OFFICIALLY SEALED LABEL applied over the opening, returned to sender with next day DLO dispatch on back, a fascinating and rare usage of this early seal entirely of front of the cover.
