102 c 89,91,OX3 image89,91,OX3: 1¢ green pair plus 5¢ blue tied by Vancouver 20 AP 1910 cds cancels to REGISTERED letter via London, Ont 25 AP to Brighton, ENGLAND, letter contained COINS (manuscript notation lower left) and was sent to the BRANCH DEAD LETTER OFFICE at Montreal 27 AP for examination, opened and RESEALED with three copies of the OFFICIALLY SEALED LABEL on white paper and RELEASED on 10 MY for delivery, eventually received at destination 21 MY, cover has been split for display and cover/stamps/labels with usual faults/creases (folded over the opened edge of the cover to re-seal) and some toning spots,still a very colourful and attractive RARE TRIPLE USAGE of these scarce labels. 106 c 89 image89: Five copies of the 1¢ green in form of a strip of five, paying the 5¢ UPU rate and tied by Toronto 15 AP 1911 machine cancel to flimsy cover to Wasa, FINLAND, cover travelled by sea to Trieste, Austro-Hungary, then north by land to Warsaw, with signed cachet on reverse 'received in Warsaw in a damaged state, Post and Telegraph Official', then to Nikolaistad, Finland and on to Wasa, (Poland and Finland were both part of the Russian Empire at the time), the cover damage mentioned in the advice backstamp is apparent but only adds to the charm of this well-travelled and very rare destination cover. 120 og/nh 90iv,v image90iv,v: The three different 2¢ carmine Type II IMPERFORATE lower left corner margin BLOCKS OF FOUR with INK 'DEFACING' LINES, all with original gum, from Plate 31 in light carmine with black line (slight gum loss in margin and hint of toning), Plate 32 in carmine with black line (crease and small area of gum loss in margin only) and Plate 43 with red line (creases mostly affecting the lower left stamp), these minor faults are usual for multiples from the edge of the sheet and the stamps are otherwise never hinged, a unique set of matching position blocks, for the connoisseur.
