Cons 1-1866, Mexico town cancel, ample to mostly large margins; crease and thin, Very Fine appearance, except for 400 lilacs divided between consignments 1 and 17, all 1866 medios are gray, with a low survival rate, these "Fifth Period Lilacs" are very rare - around ten used example are known all having some sort of fault, this is probably the finest looking example of this important rarity, having big even margins.
