Each of the four values with the extra "Soviet" inscription and printed in different colors than the issued stamps, without gum as issued, well-centered, bright colors, Red stamp with two small creases, Green stamp with small trivial wrinkle

VERY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL UNUSED SET OF THE UNISSUED OCTOBER REVOLUTION SET. ONE OF THE KEY SETS OF A PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA COLLECTION IN SUPERIOR CONDITION.

This series was unofficially released at several small post offices in Hunan, Fukien and Canton in February 1953. They were quickly withdrawn after a small number had been sold. The vast majority of sets we have seen on the market have faults from minor to severe (including repairs). This condition of this set, with only two stamps having minor flaws, is far above the norm.
