Each of the four values with the extra "Soviet" inscription and printed in different colors than the issued stamps, bright colors, neatly cancelled, No. 194 with minute thin and No. 196 with light creases

VERY FINE. A REMARKABLE USED SET OF THE UNISSUED OCTOBER REVOLUTION SET. ONE OF THE KEY SETS OF A PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA COLLECTION AND ONE OF THE NICEST SETS WE HAVE ENCOUNTERED.

This series was unofficially released at several small post offices in Hunan, Fukien and Canton in February 1953. They were quickly withdrawn after a small number had been sold.
