559 ogbl Image1c-$1.00 1917-19 Issue (498-499, 501-504, 506-518). Plate no. blocks of six, approximately eight Mint N.H. including the 7c and 30c, nearly all are top or bottom positions (eleven tops, four bottoms) except for Nos. 501, 510, 514 and 516 which are sides, the key 50c and $1.00 values are both tops, the former narrow selvage and the latter wide selvage, bright and fresh colors throughout, selected from a larger group of plate blocks for the best centered examples

FRESH AND FINE TO MOSTLY VERY FINE. A DESIRABLE SET OF PLATE BLOCKS OF THE 1917-19 WASHINGTON-FRANKLIN ISSUE, CONTAINING MOSTLY TOP AND BOTTOM POSITIONS.

This is an excellent opportunity to acquire this set, which is lacking only the rare Scott 500 to be complete (Scott 505 does not come in plate block form). The presence of nearly half Mint N.H. examples, and the preponderance of the more desirable top and bottom positions makes this set particularly nice. (Image)
