Sheet margin at right, other sides large to touched at top, cancelled by small "Paid" straightline with second strike to left on Nov. 16, 1848 folded letter from a baggage master to New Haven Railroad President Schuyler, Very Fine, with 1995 P.F. certificate, illustrated in Patton, six years after this cover was sent, in 1853-54, Robert Schuyler was involved in a large scale stock fraud, issuing some $2 million of unauthorized stock for the New York and New Haven Railroad, precipitating a panic and a Wall Street scandal (see http://www.revenuer.org/mahler/SchuylerForWeb7-25-09.pdf) (Image)
