435 c The Dr. Gary Stone Cayman Islands Postal History Balance. Wonderful selection of 168 covers filled with a wide-array of material spanning the postal history of the Cayman Islands from the 1900 Queen Victoria Issue thru George VI Issues, some highlights incl. the earliest recorded use of any value from the 1905 series (ex Cooley and Maisel), particularly late Victoria use in 1908, two McCausland provisionals (SG MR2), eight 1908 -1/4p Brown uses, eighteen different War Stamp uses (MR1, MR4-7), fifteen Postage Due covers with a few being particularly scarce, a Jamaica Red Cross label (on reverse), plus much more including first days, various cancels, uses, destinations and more with a surprising amount of commercial uses, much of which emanates from the famous collections of Cooley, Stern, Freeland and Maisel (quite a few as single lots), mostly Fine or better, close inspection is advised with items retailing from $10.00-$300.00 (or more), Scans of the entire collection (13.7MB) can be found on our website beneath the lot description
