Worldwide Internet/Mail Sale - November 13, 2024

Welcome to our November 13, 2024 auction with over 7,100 lots to choose from. This is our 52nd Anniversary Auction! It has some of our best material of the year. The sale is loaded with better calibre singles, sets, covers, postcards and collections from all corners of the globe. Here are some of the highlights:

  • A great selection of French Colonies from early to modern including Colonies from Africa, the Pacific, West Indies and Asia. The St. Pierre and Miquelon is a particularly good section.
  • A strong section of United States covers particularly from the 19th Century. These include stampless, single and multiple frankings, advertising, 2¢ Black Jack covers, trans-Atlantic and fancy cancels.
  • Excellent classic Canada including Pence, Cents, Large and Small Queens, and Jubilees up to $5. There are some really nice cancels to be found including two and four ring numerals.
  • A good group of early Boy Scout postcards (see the Postcard section) between Lots 6932 and 6960.
  • A solid section of Germany with better singles, sets, postcards and covers. This section has several postcards from the WWII warship "Admiral Graf Spee".
  • A terrific section of philatelic literature (see Lots 6854 - 6930). These include useful handbooks, specialized country reference works and studies.
  • There are hundreds of larger lots including intact country collections, estate lots and box lots. These are always popular with collectors and dealers alike.
  • There is a tremendous array of worldwide covers, postal history and postcards from around the globe. There are many nice pockets of material including France Ballon Monté covers and early South Georgia covers.
  • The coin section is not to be missed with a nice selection of both gold and silver types.

Don't forget that there is No Buyer's Fee at Vance Auctions and bidding is in inexpensive Canadian dollars. There is no extra charge for credit card use. Bidding information is updated at Stamp Auction Network. Bidding on items in the sale will continue until Midnight EST on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

Please note that bids come in from many sources in addition to SAN (including e-mail, telephone, fax, mail, and our own web site). Even if your bid is 'green' at SAN when bidding ends, you could still be outbid. If your bid turns 'red' after Midnight on the last night of bidding, it means that a higher bid was received from another source before Midnight. Auction results for Sale #371 will be posted at www.vanceauctions.com on the evening of Saturday, November 16th.
