2023 P image1894, Empress Dowager 60th Birthday, 1ca to 24ca complete, imperforate plate proofs (Chan 22P5-30P5. Scott 22-30), of the 3rd printing in colors of the 2nd printing on hard wove paper, the 1ca to 6ca in horizontal pairs from the lower right corner of the sheet and the 9ca to 24ca in horizontal pairs from the right of the sheet, radiant colors, large margins all round, the 4ca, 5ca, 9ca and 12ca have creases in sheet margins well away from stamps, Extremely Fine, and an exquisite set of these proofs. 2025 ogbl image1894, Empress Dowager 60th Birthday, 2nd printing 12ca. orange yellow (Chan 29S. Scott 23n), block of four, intense color, wonderfully fresh, unused with large part original gum, paper hinge remnants at top, Very Fine, a couple of minute black specks on two stamps merely mentioned for accuracy. A rare and significant multiple.
