Packet Dec. 16" circular datestamp and "19" credit handstamp overstruck with red grid, 1855 Le Havre entry datestamp and manuscript "6" decimes due and manuscript "Via N.Y. England", on buff cover to France with "Montluel 2 Jan. 1855" receiving backstamp (which should be 1856; cancel date not changed), Very Fine, an interesting cover from the Minn. territory partially franked with different shades of the 3¢ 1851 to make 21¢ postage which would have been correct for travel via England as directed, but the letter traveled directly to Le Havre on the Union which meant a 1¢ overpayment.
