About 185 stamps, most exhibiting various shifted overprint or offsets of the overprints on the back of the stamps; comprises C14 (72), various shifts including four of the 13mm upward shift and a full sheet of 50 with offset on the back, one vertical row of 10 being fairly strong; C15 (15), various shifts including three blocks of 4; C18 (8), five fairly strong offsets and a strip of 3 with "broken toe" variety; C19 (23), various shifts including two with the4.5mm upward shift (only 30 exist) and an imprint block of 10 with the surcharge shifted 2.5mm left and two blocks of 4 with offsets, one very strong; C20 (22), various shifts; C21 (33), various shifts including six blocks of 4 and a 7th with strong offset; C22, an imprint block of 10 with a slight offset; and C23 (5), various offsets, mostly weak; condition is virtually all Very Fine., o.g., never hinged.

471 () R10 var. imageRevenue, 1958, 3¢ red, full offset on reverse (Scott R10 var.), the so-called "Matsukoa offset error", without gum as issued, a very strong impression, Very Fine. One of only 32 examples in existence.

In November of 1958, the Matsukoa Power Co. purchased several sheets of revenue stamps for business purposes. Among these was a single sheet of the 3¢ stamp with a strong offset of the full design on the reverse. One of their clerks, who was also a stamp collector, spotted and saved what was left of the sheet—32 stamps—the other 18 having already been used.
