Kabul sabre cancel and tear cancel. Beneath the stamp is a manuscript. 'tikat Kabul', confirming Kabul origin. On address side is the sabre and cross with mystical number '691' (In the Name of God, the Great and Merciful) repeated for safe passage. Small tear does not detract.

On the address side, is notation, 'Postage paid Kabul City' plus mystical sabre and cross and '691' safe passage invocation. Beneath the stamp is the 'tikat Kabul' notation, signed Holcombe with his notes, and with 1987 Dietrich photo certificate.
