1946 (Dec) social covers with New Zealand Peace 1d pair from Wellington or 2d from Matiere to the same aircraftsman, both
redirected several times with numerous transits including 'WHENUAPAI/AIR FORCE' and 'HOBSONVILLE/AIR FORCE' and on the reverse 'RNZAF/ E /NZAPO' cds used on Norfolk Island, different instructional handstamps on the face but both with large 'NO
RECORD/RETURN TO/AIR DEPARTMENT/ PRIVATE BAG/WELLINGTON' in violet on the reverse, both soiled & the second cover rather knocked-about. A fascinating duo. We suspect LAC PR Lindsay had been quietly discharged from the Air Force. (2) (Image1) (Image2)
