 1978 50th Anniversary of Girl Guides proofs of the four designs roughly cut by hand to the 'Map' shape of the issued stamps SG
203-206 and affixed to 'Walsall Security Printers' presentation card (171x204mm), light band of adhesion on the face of the presentation card and a few minor bends all well clear of the proofs. The 25c and 45c designs were transposed for the issued
stamps. Rare: the enclosed 2002 letter from Allan Taverner, manager of the Norfolk Island Post Office, states that "Only 6 of these items were distributed to members of the Stamp Advisory Committee". Ex Margaret Hamilton: sold for $1840 at our
auction of 11.3.2008 (Sale 137 Lot 1090). An important item also for the Scouting/Guiding collector. With a set of the issued die-cut self-adhesive stamps for comparison.

 1980 Rotary International 50c marginal strip of 5 from the base of the sheet with the Black Printing ('NORFOLK/ISLAND' at
upper-left & '50c' at upper-right) affected by a rogue piece of paper on the printing surface that caused 33% Omission ('50c') on the First Unit, Total Omission - SG 235a - on the Second Unit and 95% Omission ('NORFOLK/ISLAND' & '50') on the Third
Unit, well-centred, Derek Worboys' guarantee handstamps in the margin, unmounted, Cat £12,000 just for the total omission. Sold by Derek Worboys in 1982 for £4800 and at our auction of 11.3.1989 for $4400.
Widely regarded as the pre-eminent Missing Colour Error of the Australian Territories. Only one other similar strip - from the row above - has been recorded. It sold at a London auction in -.11.2006 for £8625. (Image1) (Image2)
