1972 South Pacific Commission 7c Map & Flag with the Equator & Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn Omitted, unmounted. Unlisted by
Gibbons and Tom Pierron. Ex Stephen Bradford; sold at our auction of 9.11.2002 for $588 (Sale 99 Lot 42) and again at our auction of 14.4.2005 for $661 (Sale 115 Lot 662). It has been suggested that the omitted colour is the same as in the upper
tablet & the flag and that this is therefore from a trial printing. However, in the absence of a setenant or colour bars piece, and because it is the only example we have recorded, the jury is out on that question. With a normal stamp for comparison.
