1911 KGV Fullface Coronation Cards King George V, Queen Mary & Prince of Wales 'set' of three used 1911 to the same address in
Switzerland, the first two with lengthy personal messages, the last with "This picture of the Prince of Wales completes the Coronation trio", each with 'NOWRA/NSW' cds cancels, without adding franking and with very fine 'SCHAFFHAUSEN' arrival cds
strikes on the face, a couple of very minor blemishes. The foreign postcard rate was 1½d each, and we cannot find any reference to a 1d treaty rate with Switzerland, but none of the cards were taxed. (3) (Image1) (Image2)

with receiving cds, to Aarhuss, Denmark (no markings), then to Bombay, India with 'PASSED CENSOR/14/BOMBAY' cachet in violet and arrival cds all on the face, some transmission marks as to be expected. Much like the addressee, the card went on a

stock Rouletted 6 between the halves ACSC P20(2), a few trivial marks on the reverse of the message-half otherwise very fine to superb, Cat $10,000. The ACSC states that "a printing is recorded in May 1911 of reply postal cards, specifically for
Western Australia, which it is believed represents this issue. There is no evidence that this reply card was ever issued ... five examples ... are recorded in private hands (of which one is cancelled-to-order), and there are a further four examples

Zealand with Ceylon KGV 10c green added tied 'COLOMBO/MY 1/24' cds cancel, 'CHEVIOT/30MY24/N.Z.' arrival cds on the face, repaired fault at base. The lengthy message mentions that the sender is "... now the responsible officer ..." on board the ship,
perhaps explaining why he neglected to post it before leaving Australia. One of the most unusual usages of these cards we have seen.
