by neat bars cancel and largely very fine 'TAIPING' cds with ornament at base (Proud D8) alongside, the reverse with very fine 'SINGAPORE/FE12/92' transit and light partial Hong Kong arrival of 'FE19/92', a couple of minor blemishes. Until Perak
joined the UPU in 1899, overseas mail had to be franked with Straits Settlements stamps, and it was not required for the local postage to be paid with Perak stamps. Ex Frank Laycock & Dr William Wells. (Image1)
