longer list this issue, stating that they were obsolete by the time the 1883 regulation authorised their postal use. However, there is no doubting the genuine postal usage of denominations to 1/-.

selection comprising 'TWO PENCE' x19 including a block of 4 with 'F'-in-Bars cancels, a strip of 3 with virtually complete 'NIAGARA/W.A - P.O.' duplex cancel, and singles with very fine 'NEWCASTLE' & 'KANOWNA' cds cancels, 'THREE PENCE' x7 including
a horizontal pair, and 'SIX PENCE' x4 all with small-part Perth Registered oval cancels, condition generally fine to very fine. Gibbons no longer list this issue, stating that they were obsolete by the time the 1883 regulation authorised their postal
use. However, there is no doubting their legitimate postal usage, and we encourage their reinstatement.

POSTAL FISCALS - TELEGRAPH STAMPS: 1879 QV 1d imperforate plate proof block of 4 in bistre (the issued colour) on gummed
watermarked paper from the left of the sheet with margins good to huge, virtually full gum with the upper units being lightly mounted & the lower units unmounted. Superb. Ex De La Rue Archives: from the imprimatur sheet. Dr Cecil Walkley's unmounted
pair sold at our auction of 10.3.2007 for $610 (Sale 126 Lot 451). Lord Vestey's plate number block of 8, with "minor wrinkles", sold for £960.
