1905-10 Small Crown/A Watermark Lyrebird 2/6d blue-green Perf 11 as SG 349b corner example from the upper-right of the sheet
Imperforate at Right ACSC N68b with Sheet Number '293708', one tonespot in the margin, mounted in the upper margin only, the stamp being unmounted, Cat $2500. Sold at our auction of 24.1.2004 for $3280 (Sale 108 Lot 519), at which time it was not
listed in the ACSC. One sheet was affected, resulting in twelve examples of the error, of which the HL White vertical strip of 6 is institutionalised, leaving only six examples in private hands, most of which have faults and/or no gum. Gary Diffen's

1905 Small Crown/A-in-Circle Watermark Governors 20/- bright cobalt-blue Perf 11x11½ ACSC #N80 (SG 350b) lower-right corner single
with '1888' Monogram, large-part gum with small hinge remainder, Cat $600+ (£375+) for a normal stamp: the ACSC doesn't list the monograms for the 20/-. Rare. Sold at our auction of 26.11.2005 for $1570 (Sale 119 Lot 338). A similar example sold at

with prominent Bandage on Carrington's Face variety, well-centred, minor violet-pencil annotation on reverse, CTO with concentric-ovals cancel, Cat £1100. Rare. Sold at our auction of 19.10.2007 for $728 (Sale 131 Lot 420). Gibbons don't list Perf 12
but we know of a similar item with a Chris Ceremuga Certificate that specifically states that this stamp occurs in both Perf 10 & Perf 12.

REPRINTS: Perkins Bacon Queen-on-Throne reprinted unfinished die proof with blank tablets in crimson on wove paper with enormous
margins. Superb. Geoff Kellow in 'Stamps of Victoria' states at page 101 "it seems that a remarkable error occurred ... with the wrong Colony's name being engraved originally". The NSW version was never issued. The die had to be re-worked to shorten
