many with the ship's name endorsed including "James Baines", "Helen Baird", "King Philip", "Nimrod", "Columbian", "Ottowa", "Emeu", "Benares", "Salsette", "Earl of Sefton", "Oliver Cromwell" & "Red Jacket" (with 'INSUFFICIENTLY/ STAMPED' handstamp),
etc, several with British '3' or '5' accountancy handstamps in red, also 1859 (May) to France per "Columbian" (the ship was damaged off Kangaroo Island, repaired at Adelaide & again at Mauritius); perforated frankings include 1861 three-colour with
