Camp", British censor label, unusually also with Japanese censor label tied to the reverse by Japanese cds, censor handstamp in rosine & han of Matsui in scarlet, endorsed "Received 21.2.45", with the brief enclosure also with the censor marks on the

England with very fine 'U. S./NAVY' cancel & another (tax?) marking obliterated, message headed "US Hospital Ship Relief / en route Dairen-Okinawa" (in the Ryukyus) and states "... I am not on the sick list - all the sick went by air to Kunming ...",

block of 4 & block of 12 (6x2) and $50,000 marginal pair with imprint at top all tied by Peking cds cancels with red & black/white R label alongside, 'Zollamtlich/abgefertigt' handstamp in rosine at upper-right to indicate passed by Swiss customs,

MANCHURIA: 1945 Japanese Occupation Hoten Prisoner of War Camp, undated pale green/buff 'IMPERIAL JAPANESE TELEGRAM' from Red Cross
in Geneva to a British soldier at "Mukden Camp", Mukden arrival cds of 20.5.8 (8.5.1945), censor in violet & han of Murata in scarlet plus '.../82' cachet of unknown purpose in rosine, minor blemishes, characteristic folds. The Japanese had provided
an undertaking to deliver Red Cross telegrams. However, especially this late in the war, relatively few were delivered, especially outside of Japan.

TAIWAN: 1945 (May 10) Japanese Occupation British Red Cross roneo'd 'Following is the text of a telegram received from Tokyo via
Geneva' endorsed "Taiwan" & requesting return telegram, with the black/brown '.../PRISONER OF WAR/TELEGRAM' envelope to Norfolk. Plus a newspaper extract referencing this item & highlighting that this was a very unusual occurrence & stating "... the
scheme is operating very slowly ... [this] should be regarded as the exception rather than the rule". All illustrated by David Tett in Volume 6 at pages 356-7, where he states that 33,000 telegrams had been sent to Tokyo from Britain but only 298 had
been received from there. He adds "This is the only telegram from Taiwan known to the author".

TAIWAN: 1943 (July 8) Japanese Occupation Taichu Prisoner of War Camp (Camp Number 2), cover from London to "Taiwan Camp" with
British censor label, directed to Camp "2" in red pencil, faint censor in violet with han in scarlet, pencilled "22.6.44" receival on the reverse. Illustrated by David Tett in Volume 6 at page 357, and stated to be the only item recorded to Camp
Number 2. POWs worked on construction & maintenance projects. The camp was closed in mid-1944 after a tropical storm destroyed all local bridges.

Hampshire, minor blemishes & creased at lower-left. The sender was a Major so he was probably at Camp 4, which was a camp for senior officers.
