944 PSE imageENVELOPES - STAMPED TO ORDER: 1909 usage of 2d blue-green for AG Webster & Son with multi-coloured chromo-litho illustrations of Farmer using his Planet Jr hand-held tiller on the face & three of them hard at-it on the reverse SO7.7 (rated RR), unusually to an interstate address with Hobart continuous-machine cancel of 30.11.09 and Sydney arrival backstamp of DEC3/1909, some wrinkling & soiling and a small repaired tear at the top. Only a handful of multi-coloured illustrated envelopes are known from Australia & the Colonies/States. 953 cTO image1884-1900 Ultra High Values Recess Printed Direct from the Die £100 aniline crimson SG 285c with complete outer margins as issued, exceptional centring, CTO at Melbourne with cds of AU1/97, large-part original gum, Cat £1800 (with no margins) for CTO. Superb. Chris Ceremuga Certificate (2014). The Ultra High Values were issued in 1879 as revenue stamps in sheetlets on one, becoming valid for postage from 1.1.1884. They should be recognised as the first issue of miniature sheets in the world, being released a generation earlier than Luxembourg's 1923 10fr issue. (Image1) (Image2) (Image3)
