1373 c image1855-1880s covers to South Australia at various rates and with better frankings including Embossed 6d cut-square, 1855-57 6d x3 (one with 'INSUFFICIENTLY/PRE-PAID' handstamp & one used in 1880!) & 1/- (1861 "via Mauritius" also with Stars 1d & 4d carmine pair), 4d green partly-separated pair, 8d orange and '3d' on 3d strip of 4, others include four mourning covers (one a front only, with huge '6' handstamp of Adelaide), one peculiarly addressed to "Wentworth/Darling Junction/Adelaide" with faint 'WENTWORTH/=NSW=' arrival backstamp, etc, the three earliest are stampless, a few problems but generally fine to very fine. 1378 c image1918 (Feb) stampless cover to London from a British POW who endorsed the flap "John L Storm/Lieut 4th Worcester Regt", poor Turkish censor cachet & London arrival machine of MAR 23 18 in red both on the face. With a handwritten copy of the original letter: "...I am now sharing a room with Lt Com Stoker the captain of late submarine AE2...We have been having several earthquakes lately... [excised by censor]...After our long wait, I received 78 letters in the late part of January..."  [The Australian Submarine AE2 was sunk in the Dardenelles on 30.4.1915]
