1913 (Sept 29) cover registered to Germany with four-colour combination franking of New South Wales 2½d blue and Kangaroos ½d green, 2d grey & 2½d indigo tied by Sydney cds with red/white R label alongside, the back flap (with arrival marking) missing & a small closed tear clear of the stamps & markings. The rate was double 2½d per ½oz foreign letter rate plus 3d registration fee, the ½d underpayment going undetected.
