for only one month, and this is the only recorded 'tie' on cover. We expect the cds should be rated RRRRR]

with Perkins Bacon London Printing 6d deep blue SG 3 (margins just shaved - at upper-left - to large) & superb Diamond Numeral '120' cancel (rated RR, but the only recorded 'tie'), Adelaide transit backstamp of the same day in blue & London arrival
cds of MY21/59 in red on the face. A very attractive First Issue cover. PO 29.9.1858; closed -.9.1869. [NB: the Handbook records the manuscript date as "19-5-1859", which is incorrect. Campbell & Pearce record a re-allocation of '120' to Kingscote,
but that is not supported by the Handbook]

10 2d orange tied by largely fine Diamond Numeral '150' cancel (R, but the only recorded 'tie' on cover), a couple of minor tonespots. PO 1861. [Neither the Handbook nor Martin Walker cite a name change to Springton. However, we expect that there was
a formal name change, when the squared-circle inscribed 'SPRINGTON' (recorded from 1893) was introduced]
