closest to a cover recorded) to Hampshire "Overland by Madras" with Perkins Bacon London Printing 2d rose-carmine SG 2 very fine strip of 3 (margins close to large) with light or indistinct Diamond Numeral '22' cancels (R, but the only 'tie' to
Little Para recorded on 'cover'), London arrival cds of 6AP6/1855. PO 29.4.1852; closed 1858, after which the numeral was transferred to Avenue Range, and then in 1860 to Port Macdonnell. The rating is across all three allocations, but should
probably be at least RRRR at Little Para.

very fine strike on cover to "Blakiston" with Perkins Bacon Rouletted 2d orange (Grossly Misplaced Rouletting with 'POSTAGE' at the Base) tied by partly legible Diamond Numeral '1[1]2' cancel (R, but the only recorded 'tie' to the cds), minor
blemishes & a piece of the flap is missing. PO 1.1.1858. [Blakiston is very close to Littlehampton & has never had its own post office] Ex John Bell.

Adelaide. PO 24.2.1848; renamed Lyndoch -.11.1857, where '29' used until 1897.

time when the standard voyage was two months]
