 Photographs 1914 Australian Tour to New Zealand, photograph album endorsed at front 'To Charles Clark, A souvenir of a pleasant trip
to New Zealand in 1914, From Frank Laver', includes 18 photographs, each 17x12cm, including 1914 Australian team, two photos of matches in progress - one showing Trumper (293) and Sims (184 not out) batting during their record eighth wicket stand of
433 (still the world fist-class record for the eighth wicket); two photos of the crowd at Canterbury, and a fabulous image of the bicycle park, images of the Australian team on a picnic. {The 1914 Australian tour to NZ included 8 first-class matches.
The tour was organized and captained by Arthur Sims, who had previously represented NZ. The tour is notable for the fact that it featured Victor Trumper's final appearance in a first-class match before his death at age 37 in 1915} (Image1) (Image2)
