½d yellow-green SG O38 with Puncture Inverted (unlisted variety), light 'PORT MORESBY' cds, a few uneven perfs and a couple of minor aging marks on a few perf tips. Croaker states at p40 that "Varieties in the OS punctures are, in my experience, very uncommon in the monocoloured series" and speculates that sheets were supplied from Melbourne already perforated 'OS', reducing the varieties created in the previous issues that were punctured at Port Moresby. He does not record any varieties on the ½d value.
