Ex Jim Crompton. [Between 1887 & 1908, a Franco-British Naval Commission operated in the waters of New Hebrides & New Caledonia. This card was probably from a crew member aboard HMS 'Psyche' which made bi-monthly visits to Vila. New Hebrides stamps were first issued in Oct 1908. This item is much scarcer than cards & covers with NSW stamps cancelled at Vila, that routinely sell for $1000+ each]
