A FASCINATING COVER WHICH APPEARS TO BE THE RARE 1857 3¢ IMPERFORATE HORIZONTAL VARIETY.

Included is 1995 P.F. certificate declining opinion regarding the 3¢, stating it has been removed and replaced on this cover. Plus 2019 P.S.E. certificate stating the 3¢ is genuine imperf. horizontally, having been lifted and replaced and reused with traces of black cancel. Additionally, is handwritten opinion from Stanley Ashbrook who states, "The 3¢ is a Type II - No Perfs top or bottom, indicating (?) this might have been an IMPERF BETWEEN". On reverse is opinion of Tom Alexander, who states, In my opinion it is from the interior of the plate and is imperforate horizontally.
