1761       Salvador, Specialized Early Issue Collection, 1867-79. Almost 2,000 stamps housed on early quadrille pages in two Simplex springback albums; starting with 1867 first issues including complete sheets of the ½r-2r issues (flaws) with other mint multiples and nice cancellation study including separate forged cancellation as well as a nice genuine cancellation study of grids, fancies, towns, etc., some 2r issues on portion of overseas covers, nice showing the 1874 "Contra Sello" overprint issues with mint and nice cancellation groups, and a large section of the 1879 issues with lots of mint with gum, print and shade studies and extensive cancellations; a nice real old-time collection and an excellent basis for further continuation.

1762 P      Salvador, Proof Group, 1890-1912. Mounted on quadrille pages; includes nine different 1890 issue trial colors of the 20c//1p issues, five 1891 Volcano trial colors in blocks of 4, eight 1893 Ezta trial colors in blocks of 4 1c-5c issues, 6 1894 Liberty trial colors in blocks, and the 1912 issue including plate proof set, die proof set to the 50c and large die proofs of the 1c & 6c values; condition varies.

1763 /o      Samoa, Accumulation. Balance of various issues on stock cards, album pages and in stock book; includes various genuine Samoa Express issues mostly identified in stockbook (i.e. 1d state I x6, 6d state I used x4, 1d state II x4, 6d state II x3, 1sh state II x20+) etc., also includes forgery and reprint studies, later issues including modest Palm issue stock and a whole host of surcharge issues with better early, some German issues including forerunner items on piece, and a fair bit of later issues, etc.; much material with careful examination may prove rewarding.

1764 o      Sarawak, Cancellation Collection. Approximately 150 stamps most selected for cancellation but also including a mint #1 (OG!). Some better cancels with 1878 double oval, large part boxed Sarawak Post Office/Registered Letter/ () JUN 82, pretty barred "S" on QV Simanggang, Limbang, over 20 strikes of various different post offices, a group of KGVI cancels. A few faults but overall F-VF.

Identified and priced on dealer cards in two stock boxes; mostly useful issues with some better including mixed condition classics, with strength in Denmark from #1 (thinned) on with a nice range of later definitives, good showing of Finland and Greenland, strong Iceland including back-of-the-book, Norway from mixed used classics, similar Sweden, etc.; with modest duplication to be expected, owner's catalog value $21,055, please inspect.

1766 /o      Scandinavia, Collection, 1856-1959. Nice mint & used collection in one Scott album of Greenland, Iceland and Norway, included are some better sets and singles, early issues are predominately used with later material mostly mint, some better mint sets are included such as Greenland 1-27 (Cat $97), Iceland 71-82, 144-148, C1-C11, plus some decent used Norway, overall Very Fine and worth inspection, (Sold on behalf of the Yang Sing Lunch Fund).

1767       Scandinavia, Dealer's Cover Stock. Attractive dealer's stock of Scandinavia material of around 600 covers from Norway (60 covers), Finland (70), Denmark (140), Sweden (230), Greenland (30), and Iceland (80). Mostly commercial mail with a few philatelic and FDC's, all are sleeved and priced, dealer's reasonable retail prices are over $12,000, generally very fine.

Mounted on black stock pages consisting of 55 stamps, 34 plus a block of 18 of the 2¢ Die II and a cover front (with 15¢ code 5 and Australia Paq Fr T No 4) being QV, the rest all KEVII. The QV with values to the 48¢ includes 2 with code 5 (rare), Anse Royal (7), code 4, uses in OFS and Mauritius. KEVII includes 45¢ (3), 75¢, 1R50 and R2.25. F-VF.

1773 o      Sierra Leone, QV//QEII Collection. Of more than 480 stamps plus a KEVII ½d on plate proof on card canceled Paquebot and KGVI cover with boxed POSTED ON STEAMER. The cancels represent an amazing array of town cancels a large proportion of which are socked-on-the-nose, B31 obliterators on a variety of stamps including the first issues and a Revenue, TPOs, a nice selection of Paquebots, £1 Silver Wedding canceled small town of York, pairs, blocks of 4, QV 2½d block of 12, KEVII 1d block of 24 (one stamp faulty) Congo and Liberia stamps canceled Sierra Leone, a few slogan cancels, WWII FPO 17, etc. Includes £1 Wilberforce with Supreme Court cancel, KGVI values to the 10/ etc. Most F-VF.

1774 o      Sierra Leone, KGVI Postmark Collection. Neatly mounted on album pages arranged alphabetically by town with more than 250 stamps from 73 different towns from Baiima through Yoyema, each town usually represented by 3 or 4 stamps. All appear F-VF.

1775 o      Somaliland Protectorate, QV//QEII Collection. Of 44 used stamps mounted on black stock pages, most QV - KGV. QV includes values to the 1R, KEVII and KGV both with values to the 2R, and KGVI first issue to 3R (2) and 5R (the latter cat £75 each). Each stamp selected for cancellation interest and most are socked-on-the-nose, a few on piece. Most of the earlies canceled Berbera, barred "B" or paquebot, QV 2a and 3a canceled ZAILA B.O. later include BURAO (on KGV and KGVI), SHEIKH on KGVI and QEII, ERIGAVO and BASE OFFICE/REG on KGV, and HARGEISA (on QEII 1/ block of 7 and others). Of 300 items from about 1900's to early 1960's (most WWI to WWII period) with Boer, WWI, WWII, a lot of commercially used postal stationery (including many registered envelopes with many better usages, destinations like Basutoland, etc.), airletters, paquebot, postage due, multi-franked covers, scarce single rate unsealed letters, a section of TPO cancels on covers and pieces (not counted above), inter-provisional period usages and a specialized group from Natal and Transvaal on album pages; accumulation amassed by a true postal historian over time.
