1721       New Zealand, Collection. 3 volume mint collection in Scott albums with a few Chalons, a strong, excellent section of Sideface Queens including shades and duplicates, 1898 Pictorials complete, 1899-1903 set complete, 1902-9 perf 11 and perf 14 sets, KGV 1½d and 2d proof blocks of 4 and a small but nice group of covers. KGVI and QEII issues appear mostly complete through 1996. Useful back of the book includes a few 1932 Postal Fiscals with values to the £1 (2), Express Delivery, several Life Insurance sets plus one on cover, and a range of Officials including the set of KGVI with "ff" joined. Most later NH. Some unused or faulty n/c. Most F-VF. (Scott $26,500+, SG £29,500+).

1729 /o/      New Zealand, Specialized 1899 Postage Due Issue Exhibit Collection and Study. Mostly mounted and identified on exhibit and album pages; exhibit displaying both Presentation Copy and UPU "Ultramar" specimen ½d-2sh sets complete, ½d with both wide and narrow frame issues and varieties including no stop after N and no stop after D in separate mint blocks of 4 as well as the later in pane of 30, 1d with frame types, on post card usages, similar 2d types, 3d with scarce solo use on cover, 4d includes a no stop after "N" variety mint and 5d with solo on cover usage (only known to exhibitor) and 6d-2sh showing both mint and used examples of each (2sh with pair for used), also includes 2 pages for the 1903 express issue including covers and additional study pages of issues to the 2sh value with good high value mint and minor plate varieties, etc.; an excellent foundation for continuation.

Of more than 500 stamps on black stock pages and dealer cards, mostly QV era, all selected for exceptional strikes, many socked-on-the-nose, including pairs, strips, and blocks of 4 and 6. Many better stamps, a nice selection of Officials, several Postal Fiscals, an excellent group of QV with multiples on piece, a 1908 stampless cover used locally with magenta Auckland Paid squared circle, a diminutive engraved Chalon portrait on thick card and a 1954 SG Christmas card with QV 2d imperf reprint. A treasure trove!

Mounted on black stock pages, approximately 320 items, all KGV but 2, Includes KGVI block of 6 and strip of 3 on piece and one 1955 QEII document with KGVI £5 foreign bill stamps (2) and 10/ 1953 Pictorial (40 in large blocks, 2 or 3 faulty). The KGV includes pairs, strips and blocks with definitives to the 5/ denomination (3, 2 with Harcourt and Lagos parcel cancels), many socked-on-the-nose, a nice variety of cancels with many better small towns.
