1402       United States Postal History. Esoteric/unusual lot of about 350 postal history items with a great holding of earlier special delivery usages (E1-5 different, E3, E7), Scott F1 (7 usages-many nice ones), and many others, a specialized group of better Washington-Franklins with many multi-franked covers paying many different rates, many nice registered and foreign, several early due stamps on cover from international origins and domestic, several mixed country combination covers, a group of 26 McKinley plate proofs on card, mainly mint, but with many scarce and unusual ones, and a group of about 80 illegal usages, primarily in the 1930's, with the majority being postal stationery cutouts used on cover, as well as some non-stamp label usages, and all going through without any postage due; an interesting and diverse group.
