Housed in three stockbooks, album and sheet file, mostly in plate block format; includes a few Bureau issues including on cover, 4¢ Trans-Miss plate block of 4, some 1902 definitives, various 1909 2¢ red plate blocks, Washington-Franklins with 1908 issues including scarce 50¢ plate block of 10 with imprint (cat $6,000 mint), nice showing of latter including #409 matched set, some Pan-Pac plate blocks, scarce coil waste plate blocks, #547 plate block of 8 (cat $3,500 mint), nice showing of 4th Bureau issues up to the $2, many later commemorative set plate blocks, Kans-Nebr plate blocks complete, 1932 Washington issue plate blocks complete, completion in Parks, Prexies with large high value plate blocks, Famous Americans, etc., back-of-the-book issues including C1-C6 plate blocks, C18 plate block, many scarce postage due plate blocks, deliveries, etc., includes sheets with used Famous Americans sheet and others, some later High Values Postage Dues in sheets; an excellent foundation for further continuation.

1430       California, 1858-61 Bill of Lading & Insurance Sheets. Group of 4 strips (strips of 4) of Bill of Lading and 8 strips of Insurance issue, with shades from red to brick red, one sheet with small internal hole and extending tear, others in nice condition (these were used by Wells Fargo and were only used for three years until the Supreme Court ruled that the taxes were unconstitutional).

Lot of about 150 items (plus some fronts not counted) mainly composed of incoming mail from the 1900-60's, mostly early with many censored covers with main part being from the U.S. with a lot of Washington-Franklin frankings and with origins like Romania, U.K., Jamaica, others and several from many different South American countries, additionally has a small correspondence of 6 covers sent stampless from Jamaica from 1917 with due marks and each with Canal Zone due stamps applied cataloging $175 each; some mixed condition with an old time lot like this, but many surprises and good usages.

1439 o/      Danish West Indies, - Great Britain Used Abroad Postal History, 1866-73. Nice group of 10 covers and 22 stamps/on piece items; covers with various Great Britain issues canceled by the barred "C51" oval cancellation, with usages to Halifax, N.S., Denmark, Demerara B.G., combination frankings to France, 1sh usages to London and interesting usage to Germany (missing a stamp), off cover items including 20 1sh QV issues arranged by plate no.'s; nice overall condition, worth proper review (See website for images).
