Mail Sale - June 26, 2019

Sam Houston Philatelics next auction will close on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 1:00 PM, Central Time. The sale contains over 650 lots, with material in all price ranges and something for everyone, collectors and dealers alike. A few of the highlights include the following:

  • UNITED STATES, There are about (65) U.S. lots, with approximately (20) Classics and Banknotes, a 6¢ Columbian graded XF-Superb; several graded Trans-Miss w/the 8¢ graded XF-Superb Jumbo. There are about (20) Washington-Franklins & others; and about (25) 1930 to Date with a good selection of graded issues, including (2) GEM 100.

  • COVERS, a nice selection of (46) lots, with (22) Commercial covers, and (24) FDC's.

  • AIRMAIL & BACK OF BOOK ISSUES, contains about (20) lots of Airmails & BOB. One example includes a 24¢ Justice Dept official w/part OG (O32).

  • ERRORS, FREAKS & ODDITIES, about (5) lots with misperfs, color shifts or missing color, including the rare $2.40 Raising Flag on Moon w/Black Engraved color omitted.

  • GENERAL FOREIGN & COLLECTIONS, over (70) lots from a variety of countries, including some Hawaii issues, several UN, very nice Czech S/S collection and Greece & Vatican collections. Also, a couple Russian imperfs, other U.S., Foreign country and topical collections.

  • DUCK STAMPS AND CONSERVATION STAMPS (Federal, Junior & State) contains over (300) lots; including (1) very nice collection, over (20) licenses and souvenir cards all w/gold numbers, (25) Junior Ducks including artist signed, over (50) PNS's, about (150) Federal, (5) Mini-sheets and (9) Press Sheets items. There are over (30) Artist Signed w/4 remarques. About (30) EFO's, including RW54 w/"brown color omitted in areas", both RW57 errors and RW60 w/black engraved color missing. State & conservation include about (70) items, with (7) Governor's Editions, including 1992 & 1993 Mississippi Sheets/10 signed by Gov. Fordice.

  • PRINTS, (19) Prints are offered, (6) Federal, which includes nice RW3 & RW26 prints, and (13) State & Conservation. with a copy of the 1980 Michigan issue.
